Yes this is as described.
After a 24 hr initial charge battery only lasted about 2 days before it needed recharging.
The water tank is really of insufficient size.
The most annoying feature is that the jet rotates in the holder as one uses it so unless one holds it constantly with ones finger, one often has it at completely the wrong angle.
Not nearly as powerful and easy to use as my previous 8 yr old Braun Oxyjet which is temporarily defunct. Luckily I have now hopefully got a spare for this so will not have to rely on Waterpik. Pity Braun do not now sell these in UK.

Quite disappointing. Not sufficiently powerful to really cleanse deeply. Better at removing debris before brushing than mouthwash alone.

This is a fantastic product that I have recommended to all my friends and family. For years I have struggled to be committed to traditional dental flossing, with all the fiddly and awkward hassle that comes with the process, especially for a man with large hands. Then I discovered Waterpik quite by accident in a BB&B store and I bought one to try and haven’t regretted it since. Like anything new it took a few goes to get comfortable with the Waterpik, but it wasn’t long that I felt my teeth and especially the gaps between were so much cleaner. You can actually see the cleaning in progress as you use the Waterpik with bits of food caught between your teeth flow into the sink. I also like the fact that you can put a month wash into the Waterpik, I like to dilute the mouth wash 50% with warm water, but it’s your choice. I have been using the Waterpik for about 4 months now and will be interested to find my dental hygienists assessment of my teeth at my next visit, plus I will be asking why the hygienist hasn’t recommended the Waterpik to me! Bottom line, I can’t recommend this product highly enough.

High pressure cleaning works great if you have implants, bridgework or lots of gaps as it really does wash away an debris left after conventional cleaning. I own 3 of these and have now decided to buy a different make as all three units have the same problems; the battery does not have sufficient power to use ywo of the attachments (the standard jet and the Pik pocket), the battery needs charging every other day, the reservoir is too small and the onn/off switch become intermittant, the main lead where it plugs into the WP-450 is not a tight fit and the reservoir leaks if water is left in it meaning you come home to a puddle unless you leave it in the sink.

I think my comment would go against many reviews here. This product is great if you eat meat, cookies or any other kind of food that annoyingly would stick between your teeth.
No matter how tough this stuff get stock between your teeth, Waterpik Ultra Cordless would take them out nice and clean. I bought this thing from Boots and I have been using it since Dec 09.
I guess people who dont know how to use this product effectively would come up with only draw backs, which actually there are. but there’s more benefit to it.
For example this product has not been designed for everyday use, or water container gets empty quite quickly if you use it on high pressure.
Overall I love what I got and I think it was worth every penny. I do highly recommend it to anyone who wants to move on from dental floss to the next level.
